- What is territory?
Territory is the means to associate the customers under a particular category. Placing (Assigning) the custom under a particular territory helps an organization to deal with the customers very easily. If the user has to login, he can log in only to a single territory and to a single group at a time. If needed, one can switch over to any territory or any group.
When the user logs in to a territory say ‘X', the module "Sales" shows only the customers which were associated to the territory ‘X'.
In this way the territory is related with "Sales" module.
- What is Group?
"Group" is a means to place the requests under particular group. Grouping the requests this way helps the organization, to deal with any request very easily.
If you log in to a particular group, say ‘g1', the module "Support" displays all the requests which were placed in this group but does not display the request placed under any other group.
"Group is the group of requests. We say "group" is related to the module "Support because the "Support module displays the requests groupwise.
- What is the difference between territory and group?
Territory is concerned to customer. Since the "Sales module deals customer entry, we say that territory is related to the "Sales module.
"Group is concerned with requests from customers of any territory. Since request entry is made in "Support module, we say that "group" is related with the module "Support".
Note: The concept of "territory" and "group" are implemented on CoreCrm as per the recommendation of our expert group on CRM.

Prospect is also called "lead
- What is Opportunity?
Some of the prospects (targeted audience) may show more interest on the product or service of an organization. According to Our CRM experts, it is not advisable to treat all the prospects and customers the same way. Rather we need to give special attention and special approach to those customers who really eager about our product or service. Such prospects and such customers must be identified and placed under opportunity also. This becomes an opportunity for any business.
Opportunity is special entry of the prospects or customers.
- Is the "territory" rigid to a Geographical Territory?
No. the concept of "territory" is not rigid to any geographical location, rather it can be used for geographical location also i.e we can consider "territory" as geographical location as well to assign customers from a particular location.

- What are the uses of making Territory?
The use of having territory in CoreCRM grows with how you want your customers to be categorized. It can be to place customers from a particular geographical location under a category or it can be to place customers who match your business criteria.
For example: If your's is franchised company selling many a products and you want to group the customers who buy a particular kind of product, say X, you can do so very conveniently just by creating a territory with the same name X ( which is your product name) and placing all the product X buying customers under the territory 'X'.
- Can we send mails to other users (co-employees who have their own login)?
Yes. You can send the mails to them. Sending such mails are termed as "internal mail". One can send mail to his/her co-employee even without internet connection provided your system is connected to local network (LAN).
To send such mails, you just need to specify login name at "To" address.
Example: your login is ‘mainuser1' and your co-employee login is ‘mainuser2'
You just need to specify ‘mainuser2' to send mail to him and he needs to specify ‘mainuser1' to send mail to you.
- How to create "Unassigned Customer"?
It can be created only in the "Support" module. While creating customer here you must choose ----select---- option at the combo box for territory. Choosing this option declares that it is not any territory.

- What is the difference between giving "credit and "refund in Account Receivables ?
Credit:
It means receiving fewer amounts from customer than what was invoiced.
For Example: If the product was invoiced for $5000, and if you give your customer credit of $50, now the customer needs to pay only $4950. Here it does not mean that the Invoiced amount is change to $4950. The Invoice amount remains same ( $5000), but the customer need not to pay $50.
Here we are not returning a part of money after receiving the whole invoiced amount. Rather we are collecting less money what product was invoiced to.
Refund:
It is the part of money that the organization returns to customer after receiving the whole invoiced amount from the customer.
